We wanted all the ICF friends to know that Beverly Ball died on September 22, 2021. She was 93 years old and the wife of Armand Ball. When Armand was the Executive Director of the American Camping Association, Bev was the director of book publishing and bookstore operations for ACA. After retiring they moved to Sanibel Island in Florida. Together they wrote nine editions of Basic Camp Management, the textbook for colleges and the International Camp Directors Course (ICDC). Bev, along with her devoted husband and companion, Armand was very involved in the international camp community and instrumental in the development of ICF. Bev was a Trainer for early camp director courses in a number of countries. Over the years, she was active in many environmental organizations, the YMCA and Girl Scouts.
She will be missed by ICF, ACA and many US and international friends.
