Camps north of the equator are enjoying spring and getting excited about the summer ahead. In Australia and elsewhere to the south, the seasons change but the focus on camp does not.
ICF at conferences around the world
National and regional camp associations meet all over the world throughout the year. ICF makes every effort to attend these meetings in person or via video connections to share the most recent ICF news.
I had the opportunity to attend the ACA conference in Orlando with ICF past-presidents Valery Kostin, John Jorgenson, and ICF Secretary Marco Reyes. It was wonderful to see colleagues and friends. Recently, members of our Board attended conferences in Canada, Mexico, Russia, and Venezuela. I am delighted to inform you that everyone is very excited and optimistic about the camping season ahead.
Elections
The ICF Election Committee, led by John Jorgenson, successfully completed the election process for 2023-2026 term. I am grateful and honored to be given the opportunity to serve as president of this unique international community for another three years. Serving with me for the term of 2023-2026 are Jeff Bradshaw as Vice President, Alexia Sideri as Secretary, and Marco Reyes as Treasurer. Thank you to all members for your faith and support.
12th International Camping Congress
As you are all aware, the International Camping Congress in Spain will be the highlight of the ICF in 2023. We are delighted to see the interest expressed by camp professionals from all over the world. Already, we have registrations from 21 different countries, and we believe this number will increase by the end of April.
We will hear from amazing presenters from all continents at ICC 2023, and the research forum will be one of the highlights of the event.
Of course, we will not only be working during the Congress. Work is only one component of the program. We will visit incredible Spanish camps, enjoy the history and culture of the region, savour unbeatable paella and other delectable foods, and play at Port Aventura Theme Park a few steps away from our Congress hotel.
Everyone is probably wondering about the evening activities and parties. I wish I could tell you more about it, but the ICC Organizing Committee advised me to keep it a secret for the time being. But I have a feeling you’ll enjoy the social event surprises a lot!
ICC 2023 Early Bird Registration Deadline
The Early Bird rates expire on April 30th. You can register for the early bird campaign at www.icc2023Spain.org. Please notify your colleagues in your respective countries and invite them to join us at ICC Spain.
ICC 2023 Spain will be our first Congress in the EU, and everyone who has taken part in an ICC will tell you that it is wonderfully beneficial and is an event to be remembered for many years.
