Dear ICF Family,
2023 has begun with hopes for a brighter future for ICF and the global camp community.
When in contact with several countries all over the world, I am ecstatic to learn that families show an increased interest for camps. It is so great to see that new camps are appearing in the camp scene. Existing camps are recovering well and most will reach their capacity in the summer of 2023.
It is also my big pleasure to share this news with you: ICC2023 Spain will be outstanding.
Preliminary registrations exceeded the number expected. As of Jan 1, 2023, 170 camp professionals from 18 countries have already completed their registration and are packing for Spain! We are receiving proposals from amazing speakers all around the world. Early Bird Registration opportunities continue until April 30. Join us and register for the Congress.
Time goes by very fast and we find ourselves in the last 8 months of the 2020-2023 term of the current ICF Board. Our election committee: John Jorgenson, Pablo Casas and Carolina Fleix-Wright are leading the election process to create the new ICF leadership team for Oct 2023 – Oct 2026. If you are a voting member of ICF (only full memberships), please take part in the election process and apply for board positions you think you would be helpful.
ICF Academy has developed into a gem for ICF, and each session gets better than the last. We are grateful to the amazing staff at ICF Academy for fusing professionalism and a sense of family support.
Valery Kostin and John Jorgenson, past presidents of the ICF, will travel in February to visit with ICF associates. They will first present at the Annual Camp Workshop in Mexico (TAC 2023). Then they will take a flight to Orlando to attend and give a presentation at the ACA National Conference. We anticipate that many more camp friends from North America will register for ICC 2023 after their tour.
We get a lot of messages from all around the world, and it’s clear that the global camp family have missed one another. They are eager to meet in Spain, give each other long-delayed hugs, and share the latest ideas.
The ICF Congress in Spain in 2023 will be the strongest one ever for networking and professional growth.
