Taller Anuele de Campamentos – TAC 2023
The 2023 Taller Anuele de Campamentos in Mexico was held at Camp Santa Ursula in San Luis Potosi on February 18. Directors and senior staff from the 40 member camps in the association assembled well over 250 personnel from their camps for an early arrival to a great day of sharing and learning. The theme of ‘Engranando Mentes’ (Meshing or Engaging Minds) built upon the idea of the well-oiled machine in which every element of a great camp machine fits together perfectly and performs its part smoothly.
Over the course of the day the camp groups were hosted and guided by the hard-working Santa Ursula staff. The camp groups were greeted and given a quick warm-up tour of the huge complex that is Camp Santa Ursula. They were then split into separate groups that included staff from other camps. The theme of ‘engranando’ ran throughout the day with discussions, lectures and workshops as well as camp activities that included cycling, canopy walks and go karts. During activities the groups earned blank wooden gears that they later filled with their names, feelings, hopes and wishes for the summer ahead.
ICF was there!
ICF Past Presidents Valery Kostin and John Jorgenson brought ICF greetings to the enthusiastic collection of camp staff. At the closing, all of the gears were assembled onto the theme wall and the camp directors provided the final charge to activate the entire mechanism. It all worked very smoothly and provided a powerful message. TAC 2023 engaged minds, hearts and hands to demonstrate the power of working together and the importance of knowing each part to create great camp experiences.
What a wonderful moment to share, create, and enjoy together, all with one same goal: change our campers live in every smile, bringing happiness and colorful life!!!
